Job Description
- Minimum Daily contact with ship owners and/or ship operators and/or trading houses and/or miners and/or end users within the dry cargo market to provide insight, market intelligence and information.
- Maintain up to date, detailed record of ship positions, cargo enquiries and market information a
- Maintain, nurture, and support existing lines of business by providing best in class service consistent with the company’s values and standards.
- Negotiate the main terms of shipping contracts and ensure their performance in close coordination with the operations department.
- Maintain and build close relationship with the other departments within the company, and other desks to provide yourself and your clients with the best information and market understanding.
- Initiate, create, and build new lines of business by identifying emerging market participants.
- Prepare market report capturing the essence of the day’s activities and offering opinion of the market going forward.
Key Requirement
- Experience within LPG chartering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- A good negotiator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good network of clientele.
- Confident and able to work well under pressure, with ability to adapt.
