We are seeking friendly and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Front of House Staff at our brand new Peri Peri chicken restaurant in Carrigaline. As a member of the front of house team, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service, taking orders accurately, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for our valued guests.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly, provide menu recommendations, and offer assistance throughout their dining experience, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests or dietary requirements are properly noted and communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately, following established cash handling procedures.
- Assist in delivering food and beverages to tables, ensuring correct orders, and providing timely service while maintaining a clean and organised dining area.
- Inform customers about special offers, promotions, and upselling opportunities, effectively enhancing the customer experience and maximising sales.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, floors, and restrooms, adhering to sanitation and hygiene standards.
- Stay informed about menu items, ingredients, cooking methods, and any changes or additions to the menu, ensuring accurate information is provided to customers.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and welcoming manner, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and providing efficient and accurate service.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work well within a team environment, assisting colleagues when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, handle changing priorities, and adjust to peak dining hours.
- Proactive approach to resolving customer issues or concerns, seeking assistance from supervisors when needed.
- Neat and presentable appearance, adhering to the restaurant's uniform policy.
- Previous experience in customer service or the hospitality industry is preferred but not essential. Willingness to learn and adapt is important.
