Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) is looking for a talented individual to serve as a Community Partnership Coordinator for the Child Welfare and Self Sufficiency agencies throughout Central Oregon. In this role you will be an integral part of the District’s Community Resource Team to help lead efforts to create an interconnected agency where equity is woven into all aspects of our work.

Preference will be given to Spanish/English language skills, but all languages are welcomed and utilized to better serve our Oregonians. We offer bilingual differential pay, which is an extra 5% of the employee’s base pay upon passing test(s) evaluating your proficiency in a language other than English. Please note, bilingual language skills are not required for this position.
Summary of duties:
As the Community Partnership Coordinator, you will actively participate as a member of the District’s Community Resource Team as well as the local ODHS Leadership team to:
- Identify resources and services needed by ODHS customers to support self-sufficiency and child safety; develop partnerships and processes to connect ODHS customers with necessary supports.
- Plan, organize, and lead assigned projects, programs, and activities to achieve the mission of ODHS in District 10, which encompasses Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson Counties.
- Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate with the District Leadership team, ODHS staff at all levels of the agency, ODHS volunteers, and community partners.
- Provide coordination and liaison services in the community for partnership development and coalition building.
- Research and develop project contracts including negotiating, monitoring, and renegotiating agreements.
- Represent our agency through communicating ODHS values, developing a positive, constructive organizational culture, stimulating creativity, and promoting equity work and teamwork.
- Identify and develop services and resources in collaboration with community partners and stakeholders using a strong equity and inclusion lens to support the long-term needs of historically marginalized communities.
Working conditions:
- The primary workstation will be located at an ODHS office within Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties; location to be negotiated with the successful candidate.
- This is not a remote work position. Occasional telework requests may be approved once the initial training and trial service period has been successfully completed.
- Employee's work is conducted in offices and other community sites when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities.
- Travel, overnight absences, weekend travel and irregular / non-routine work hours on occasion.
- Works in an integrated office environment where diverse programs, partners and staff create the work team.
- Experience high volume of computer work, using various computer programs in a fast-paced team environment.
- Priorities and procedures may change daily and require the ability to be flexible in application of procedures.
What you need to qualify/Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or a degree related to the agency program that demonstrates the capacity for the knowledge and skills, OR
- Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical-level experience that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the classification.

- Contract Administration: Ability to successfully complete DHS’s contract administration training courses and implement learned skills into the role within six months.
